Two months later, it's time to take another look back at the competitive field and see how things have developed since. At the time we felt this was absolutely the correct move. It's been two months since Games Workshop released a host of updates for Kill Team in their October FAQs, correcting a number of issues with the Compendium teams and making a massive change to Custodes designed to curb the faction's absolute dominance in games. Last up are photos of two Kill Teams that took a while to frame and set up. I've yet to play a game of DFC, but these ships were just too cool to pass up. Taking a step back from 40k, I also painted up some Dropfleet Commander ships. The shoulders have the same red fade as the Telemon, but I smartly chose to not photograph it because I am smart.Īnd of course I jammed him to the brim with magnets so I can pose him like this and shout "WOLVERINES!" I followed the Telemon up with a Contempto-Achillus Dreadnought, who was similarly great to paint. Real happy with how he turned out, especially the red fade and his "I'm gonna getcha!" hand. This guy was a joy to paint, as there is something zen-like about edge highlighting. It's November and it's time to beef up my Custodes with a pair of big beefy boys, starting off with the biggest and beefiest among them, a Telemon Dreadnought. There's just one month left in 2021 - let's see what our contributors have been painting as they head into the holiday season! You also can't really grind out a game of commander in the same way that you might 1v1, going for card value, trading up a little, keeping track of cards in hand, and trying to essentially create more threats than your opponent can answer.
There are simply too many things to keep track of in a given game of Commander it's hard enough to track the board state, let alone keeping track of cards that might be in your opponents' hands.
